Growth Plan Creation Overview

Each professional growth plan will be centered around one or more goals for professional growth. Each goal can be linked to predetermined high-leverage teacher behaviors (look-fors) already programmed into this system, or can be created without using look-fors.

For each goal in the professional growth plan, there will be

• A growth area (possibly linked to a look-for)
• A listing and description of your current skill level related to this area
• A listing and description of the goal for the skill level you wish to achieve
• The steps you will follow in making progress toward your goal
• Resources you will need in completing the steps
• A target completion date for this goal area

The procedure for creating a growth plan is divided into several steps.

1. Choose a name for your overall growth plan, as well as a target beginning and ending date
2. Add your first plan goal by selecting a look-for on which to base your goal, or proceed without using a look-for
3. Add goal details
4. Repeat the process for any additional goals that will be part of the plan
