Getting Started with iObservation

Some of the critical tasks the Observer may need to do to get started with the iObservation System include:

• Checking the observations that are due today
• Viewing the observation training that accompanies a new form you are using
• Conducting observations
• Adding learners to your list to be observed
• Viewing observation history for specific forms for a learner
• Conducting online post-observation conferences with learners
• Scheduling an observation for a learner to whom an observation form has been assigned

Important: Before you, as an observer, can observe a learner,

1. The learner must be assigned to you
2. The learner must have a form assigned to him/her
3. The observation must be scheduled.

You can do items 1 and 3 if an administrator has not already done them for you.
